This section displays a few examples from over 80,000 pictures taken all over the world (over 20 countries) on this subject.
Street Art is a major contemporary art movement which crosses boundaries with specific cultural identities. It is an ephemeral art in an open air museum : the walls of our cities.
The walls speak...let them tell you their stories...
Photography and portraits are so closely linked : the first pictures ever made were pics of people. Black and white gives another dimension to this kind of photography with a dramatic impact close to esthetism.
Thiago Vaz is from Brazil. His character, Saci, is a legendary symbol in Brasil representing a liar, like Pinocchio. I ended pasting all the street with 9 works of worldwide street art at the request of people living there...
Cuba is a different country : lots of colors, beautiful architecture, lots of very cool people welcoming the visitor with great generosity despite a general lack of most goods we enjoy in our countries. Also, very little street art...and no pasting at all. I was in most cases welcome to paste the art pieces I had with me, representing artists form France, Brasil, USA, Belgium, UK, Germany, Australia and Korea. 33 artists in total within the 200 I already pasted...sorry for those I could not take with me, I wished I had taken all of them !
Deuxième opus de la planète des singes, à Sao Paulo cette fois, avec Elias entouré de Titi from Paris et de Ro. Second version odf the planet of Apes with Elias (from Sao Paulo) ,Titi from Paris and Ro from France.
Ten days after being pasted, some ignorant set fire to Elias's monkeys...so I put this new set, baptised by the artist himslef "the modern monkeys", right above the ashes of the destroyed ones. I also added a Face monkey from USA. Elias is from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
In the background, the poster for the Willy Ronis exhibition, the french photographer who died last year, aged 99. Quasikunst is from Hamburg and is pasted as part of Trees Art Without Borders ! check this link : fiveprime.org/hivemind/Tags/asa,quasikunst
I had gathered some apes from Brazil, USA, and Singapore. Ro, the french street artist, created a series of demontrating apes to gather this "planet of Apes"...we just had to find the right wall in Paris for this gathering ! J'avais rassemblé des singes du Brésil, USA, Singapour et Ro a construit une mise en scène de singes manifestants pour rassembler tout ce beau monde...il ne restait qu'à trouver le bon endroit pour ce rassemblement.
After last October's Ro pasting at Bras (Sao Paulo) with a 6,7 meters long work, this time Ro gave me the task to paste a series of characters for which 11 meters were needed ! I found it with the great help of Fabiano (2D Crew) close to Praça Roosevelt...the result is amazing !
Naples : a great city for street art...walls are live with colours, posters, structure...ideal place for pasting street art without borders : 34 artists from France, Brazil, Germany, Scotland, UK, Japan, Korea, Belgium, Australia and Columbia were pasted.
Some will say "it's the name of the game" : art thieves, angry people tearing the posters, and then the ultimate army of cleaners, masked, attacking the art like an enemy, pointing their water guns straight into the faces of the artists ! This is the real vandalism and should not be accepted as the rule of the game...artists spend their energy, passion into their work...the day I will find it "normal" to see people tearing, stealing or "cleaning" street art, is a day I do not wish to see...I feel deeply sadened by the stupidity of ignorants who destroy the essence of our dreams.
RED is the inflight magazine of brazilian TAM airlines. This short artcile presents the project Street Art Without Borders" of the March 2010 issue with pics of Zeila, Claire, OZI, NiceArt, Suriani and Ro.
Seifrei is the latest in the growing number of artists joining "street art without borders" from all parts of the world. Seifrei is from Switzerland and is pasted next to Katala's bird, from Finland, pasted a couple of weeks ago.

In addition to my friends Niko, Kouka, Tian, Speedy Graphito, Larry, Paella, Leo & Pipo, Pedro, Billikid (from NYC), Andrew Wilson (from San Diego), Nara Youn (US), Seung Min Cho, Hwan Soo & Santa (from Korea), I pasted new talents from France : Claire, Oniria, Suriani and Gorellaume.

Every couple made by Claire is the result of a picture she takes of a real couple, then paints a unique work to be pasted. You will never see the same work twice.
Pasted in Rio with the help of street artist Daniel Bileu.
Oniria (Sting stencil on the left) and Gorellaume (Leviathan) in Rio
Suriani's cat on Chivitz cat in Sao Paulo, pasted with the help of stencil artist OZI.
Suriani is a Brazilian artist living in Paris for the last 3 years.
Gorellaume (the shark) and in the background Tian and Pedro, all pasted in Salvador de Bahia (with the great help from street artist Adriano Drico)
Gorellaume (aka papy microgramm) in Rio de Janeiro.
